Do you have a Disney World trip coming up soon? Or perhaps you are looking to plan a Disney trip. Be sure that you don’t go to Disney World and do these things.
Do not walk slow:
Don’t go to Disney and walk slow. Yallll, I seriously would lose my mind getting behind someone at Disney that was seriously lollygagging. Like how can you be so unaware of the fifty-leven people walking behind you??
In all seriousness, one of my regrets from my last trip was that we didn’t just stroll around, we spent every second of the day heading from point A to point B. So by all means, take a stroll and enjoy the scenery, but for crying out loud, also remember there are people behind you.
Do not take pictures:
Don’t go to Disney and become the family photographer because when you get back home you’ll realize there are very few pictures of yourself.
Parks have a lot of photo pass locations, you just get in line and a cast member takes your photo. Then the cast member with scan your magic band and the photo with show up in your app. (You can purchase it, or if you have memory maker it will already be yours to keep.)
Also don’t be shy, ask strangers to take you and your family’s photo, and if you see a group struggling to take a selfie step in and offer to take their picture for them.
Do not say spoilers:
Don’t go to Disney and spoil it for everyone around you. Who knew this would even be an issue, let me explain. Quite often at Disney you’ll find yourself in a line for a ride, and while you wait in that line, the same people are going to be in front of you, and behind you for the entire duration of your wait. You’re around these people for a hot minute. I could not believe how often in line the people around me would spoil my experience by running their mouth.
I get it if your in line for a ride or show, and your excited about it, and want to talk about it, but for the love of Mickey keep the spoilers to a dull roar. I don’t want to give specific examples of my experiences because they contain spoilers, shocker, but for example…I’m standing in line with my family to see a show. We’ve never seen the show. The people behind us have seen it, and are back to see it again. And they are talking about the surprise ending, well guess who isn’t going to get experience the surprise, ya, me. So aggravating. Don’t be that person.
Do not skip souvenirs.
Don’t go to Disney and skip souvenirs. You are probably aware that anything at Disney seems to cost more than what it would cost outside of Disney, so it make sense that you may declare that you are not buying souvenirs. What a lot of people don’t realize is the majority of Disney souvenirs are exclusive to Disney. I told myself prior to our trip that I wanted to come back home with a Disney coffee cup. So instead of cutting yourself off completely, maybe allow yourself one goody to bring home.
